Big Brother is watching you ! And like in the book, it happens in the UK. There are nowadays, 4.2 million cameras in Great Britain, this is 1 for every 14 people there.
And if you think this is not enough, don’t forget about data records like credit cards, mobile phones, bonus cards, used by shops and businesses.
Richard Thomas, director of the information Commission, an independent organisation in charge with the protection of private data, and the promotion of access of public to official information, declares : “More and more informations are collected, shared, and used and this is is intruding our private life, leading to decisions directly influencing people’s life”.
