Remark from my girlfriend while seeing some pictures of the Place de la Concorde in Paris, looking like an evening of victory in a soccer world cup : “It’s funny how your people are celebrating the new president … I mean, here, nobody goes in the streets after the presidential elections …”

Good remark … I wonder in how many countries people do that. Probably not many. Some possible reasons ?
Perhaps because we like being in the streets for no reasons :) Perhaps because in France, people like politics more than in other countries ? Perhaps because, every time, they believe in the new one as in a new messiah, even though tomorrow they will admit that nothing will change … Perhaps because president has more power here than in most democratic countries, at least in Europe ?

I prefer to think that people manifest their luck of being in a country where you can elect your leader, since not all the countries in the world can do it :)

We are to vote this Sunday, and a few people asked me who I was to vote for … Let’s put it this way :
I’ll vote for : Segolene Royal Nicolas Sarkozy Donald Duck ?

I hate both candidates … I checked carefully, but they are so similar in a way : liars and ready to do anything to get the power.

I would like to ask all French people to vote white. perhaps if together, the candidates don’t get 50% of the votes or if participation reaches a record low, something is going to happen … What about a revolution ?

Beaucoup de gens disent : “ce qu’il y a de bien avec Arlette, c’est qu’elle n’a pas change son discours”. Dans le sens, ses opinions n’ont pas change.

Et si c’etait vrai aussi dans le sens le plus direct ? et si elle n’utilisait en fait que le meme discours en permanence ?

If you ever coded in an IT company, you probably met adepts of the “if it compiles, ship it !” … here is a way to do so and get certified for it !
The comments are about as good as the article ; I especially liked the Bronze version of this certification : “Works on my machine YESTERDAY”, or “Works on my machine only Saturdays and Sundays” :)
