| I didn't get a good picture of this road. But the feeling is real fun. |
| Cool doghouse. |
| That's where we stay tonight ! |
| Jeju has a happy statue, that one can find everywhere on the island. |
| Dinner is impressive (and didn't cost much) ! |
| This is a Korean cemetery. People just make a bump of earth above. |
| There are many small hills to hike. |
| Weird trees. |
| At least we get some view :) |
| This one is the central volcano, Hallasan. |
| This is a chocolate museum. Chocolate history is well documented. |
| This is Mt Sanbang. Legend says that the tip of Mt Halla was blown off and landed here to become Mt Sanbang. |
| Yongmeori coast. We called this part Turtle rock because of the shape, but local legend says this is a dragon head, facing the ocean. |
| We are now at Yakcheonsa temple |
| "Petit scarabee ! monte une a une les marches de la vie" |
| Above the temple, one can enjoy the view, and keep climbing ... |
| ... through the vegetation ... |
| ... the weird stones ... |
| ... and finally reach a sacred cave, Sanbang Grotto temple (has been used at least since the Goryeo dynasty). |
| On top of Seongsan |
| Seongsan, from its foot |
| We then went to explore Manjanggul magma caves. Here are some lava benches. |
| The ceiling is very interesting too. Lava stalactites, unlike limestone ones, are formed from dripping during, rather than after the formation of the cave. |
| Turtle rock |
| Lava column (this happens when lava flows through the ceiling). |
| We now go visit corals, with a Finnish made submarine. We are given some weird instructions ... |
| Kiki and Muumi thought it was a relaxing cruise ! |
| It's true they don't really need a submarine to visit the depth |
| Un nez, mon cher, un nez ! |
| Very colourful indeed |
| A white tree ? |
| On Jeju island, one can also find some hexagonal shaped rocks on the coast, very similar to those we saw at the Giant's causeway in Ireland. |
| Weird rocks are all over the place. |
| It can get quite impressive when the sea starts to play |
| Funny what one can find in a shell :) Hey ! are you a hermit crab ? |
| Fashion is hard to understand ... |
| Jeju has some traditional folk houses in places |
| Some are still being used |
| Defensive gate |
| Korean breakfast somewhat differs from the French ... |
| These pictures were taken by Yonghee and Kosei. Thanks ! |
| I'm especially happy since I lost 2 dozens pictures, including some really good ones :( |
