We went to Yamanouchi town, close to Nagano. The place is famous for its onsens (hot springs), and in one of them, monkeys are bathing ! |

Typical food in Nagano area is soba (buckwheat noodles). It's delicious, especially freshly made, like in this restauraant found by accident. On the left are a variety of wild grass, deep-fried. This is specific to Yamanouchi. |
