The 3 floor are made in different styles: the first floor, called Ho-sui-in is made in the style Shinden-zukuri (palace style) ; the 2nd floor, Cho-on-do, is made in the style Buke-zukuri (samurai house) ; the 3rd floor, Kukkyo-cho, is made in the style Karayo (Zen temple).
