Uppsala glacier - boat tour

We barely got on the boat, we already get nice landscapes

First iceberg ! It's cold, but the problem here is the very strong wind !

Icebergs are getting bigger

And there are more of them

Here is a small glacier. I think it is "Black glacier" is its name. It is clearly receeding over the years.

Spegazzini glacier

This one is the tallest I think, with walls up to 130m high

Found a place to keep Mummi warm

Some of the iceberg are really huge, plus, only 20% shows at the surface, the rest is under water, so it can be quite dangerous

Captain ! iceberg !

First view over the Uppsala glacier. Named so because the University of Uppsala (Sweden) helped conducting research and expeditions here.

Some have very blue colors when snow is compressed a lot.

Onelli lake. This is always filled with icebergs, since 3 glaciers end here: Onelli, Bolados, Agassiz.

Too bad we can't send one as a souvenir :)

Walking on the water again. Note: on the Moreno glacier, it was possible to go for a walk on the ice, but it would have costed over a hundred euros per person, for about 1H. Here, I get to do it for free :)
